As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Back to Life and Lovin' It!... Thursday, January 24

With today being my first official floor-hockey free, anti-cafeteria eating, English-less day, I treated myself to an extra hour in bed, just to revel in the fact that I didn’t have to get up for anything and for no one in particular.

Today’s plan was to do nothing at all… and love it!  And that’s exactly what I did.  I basically did nothing at all but chill like a villain with my four-legged crew and chit-chat with Snickers.  Sure there were a lot of could have, should have and would have things to do but I figured I was good for a day of absolutely nothing.

I thought about perhaps checking off one of my things to do on my 2013 Bucketlist.

#3 Get a professional makeover.
Nah… would require me to leave the house and today I really don’t care to comb my hair.

#6 Pull off a scary prank on Snickers.
I’m convinced I have to do this but it’s got to be good.  I just couldn’t think of a scary prank to pull on him especially because he was home all day with me.

#14 Watch all the Rocky movies back-to-back.
Again with the not wanting to leave the house idea, even if it were just to visit the dvd store.  I did however end up watching two of the Back to The Future movies back-to-back today.

#15 Spend 1 full day in bed.
This was my most likely to happen today item on my Bucketlist but then I attempted to take all three four-legged friends out for a walk.  A quick walk just doesn’t happen when there’s all three of them!

#30 Look after the twins for one full day.
Ya,… no!  After a month of nonstop kids in my face, I really don’t care to see another one for quite some time now.  Want a kid?  Work an English camp and perhaps you’ll change your mind (and your need for birth control too)… hahaha.  Ok, so the kids weren’t so bad, they were actually really great, but they were everywhere I was this past month.  It was like an overdose.  I need to detox from them now.

So ya, checking of one of my thirty 2013 Bucketlist items was a no-go but it was a great day.  It felt so good to be back in Cheonan with Snickers, back home at Mi Gung with my four-legged friends.  Tomorrow we can get back to business – the business of continuing the persue of our dream, our boxing club – but today we simply relaxed, and we loved it.
