As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Congrats to Us, for Being Awesome... Friday, January 25

Today was a very special day for us so we headed out of town to celebrate it.  We returned later on in the day, in the late afternoon, and reminisced about our past together.
... There was, of course, the proposal.
... the wedding-less wedding day (and this being the ONLY surviving picture of the day)
... the nontraditional, surprise wedding that was unlike any other wedding.  It was spectacular, it was beautiful and it sent me crying the home ride home (good crying).
... the first year anniversary out at Lotte World...
... then the second year anniversary, which didn't actually have any couple shots but we took this the day before...
... and then today, our third year wedding anniversary.

Three years ago today I woke up to find Snickers covered from head to toe in some mysterious rash that had broken out all over him while he had slept.  I was sure it was wedding jitters and that he was having second thoughts.  We hadn't been dating long, about seven months actually, but I was sure that he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.  My mother had always told me, "You don't know until you know", and I had finally understood what she meant when I met Snickers.
