As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Girls Night In at Hulk's

Today our mean, green club got turned into a movie date setting for our Girls Night In event.
At 8pm the ladies started filing in and filling up our couches.
And our juice bar got loaded with drinks and snackies.
Next on our agenda was to sit back, nipple on some treats, and enjoy the show.
I didn't really enjoy the first movie.  I gave Angelina Jolie two thumbs down -- her crazy exaggerated cheek bones proved to be more interesting than the movie itself.
I couldn't really get mad at the lady who picked the first movie though.  After all she was a fellow Canadian and even a fellow Toronto Blue Jays fan!!!
Turns out her hometown is like an hour and a half away from mine, and to think it took us both to travel to the opposite side of the globe to run into each other, very cool.
We watched a total of three movies -- an unexpected and questionable children's movie, a comedy romance, and a flop of a scary movie.
I think we had more fun making fun of the movies than watching them.  I particularly enjoyed the fact that the last movie wasn't scary for me but was scary enough for the gal beside me, making it all too tempting to continually try to freak her out... hahaha.
