As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

This was the scene I was greeted with as I turned the corner, just a couple of streets away from my place.  There stood 60+ Swat police.
Down the street there were another cluster of 60+ Swat police.
And with their water-shooting police trucks, they swarmed the streets of downtown Cheonan -- police were everywhere.
Snickers joked, telling me that the had come here to protect UP (that's UP's, in the building right above KmB).  War isn't exactly on with UP but there is definitely tension and I know they're watching us.
Big brother is watching... but little sister is watching back.

I'm so over the drama of the other week's incident actually though I must admit it's really questioned my beliefs about certain people.  I've got better and bigger things to worry about and to occupy my time with than this silly nonsense.  Snickers' joke was funny but I've decided to stick with my initial thiking -- to lower myself to someone's level proves that I'm no better.

... (or their thoughts and actions).
