As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Dog, A Frog, and Many Males

I almost adopted this beautiful female boxer today, seriously.  She was going to be my newest crew member at Hulk's -- a boxer (dog) at a boxing club?!  How appropriate!
We've been pondering getting a security four-legged friend for the club because splitting up our trio of Pyen, Bal and Pac is a bit hard.  Pyen Chi is still shedding and often gets moody, Balboa is a Chihauhua so need I say more about him (holy hyperness), and Pac has anxiety attacks with crowds of people.  We were told that this beautiful boxer was a resell/rescue and thus the pet shop was eager to get rid of her.  Turns out they jacked up the price of her ten times, which means she's out of our budget.
They say it takes you to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince but I beg to differ.  I kissed many boys but I found my king -- a beautiful Korean man who I happily sit beside at our boxing club, sipping on coffee from my new froggie coffee cup.
Today's boys but tomorrow's men -- hulking out the guys at our club.  Much respect to them for their dedication and props to them for their hard work.  So very cool to see them transform before my eyes!
