As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Raining Rain Outside but Raining Beats Inside

It started off as a very rainy day, with a crazy cool, ultra loud thunderstorm that lasted for a good chunk of the day and left everything and everyone completely soaked -- a perfect start to a new day.
Love the rain!!!
Cooked up some goodies at the juice bar -- new mouthpieces for today's sparring and silly foodies that I love but don't always win others over with.  Today's strange foodie, cappuccino-flavored, protein-packed Greek yogurt with oatmeal in it.
In the home corner, WOW President, and in the away corner, the WOW boys (his sons).
...and down for the count, one of the sons!!!
Others sparred today too and almost all walked away (some easier than others) with sparring wounds.

So you think you're brave enough to step into the ring with the Korean Hulk?!  Props to you but I'll tell you now it's going to be a short sparring match -- and yup, just like I predicted, it was.
I am almost tempted to throw this onto the Cheonan Facebook page, pose a challenge to all those "tough guys" who think they can back up all their big talk.  I live right downtown, I live right above a foreigner's bar, and I can tell you, the so-called "fights" I've seen, well, they really haven't been fights.  I almost feel embarrassed watching them, knowing full well even my first-day boxercise babes could bring more skill and damage to such fights... hahaha.
Props to everyone who sparred tonight.  I love the tough guy "battle wounds" and have nothing but respect for those who dare step into the ring.
