As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Go Big or Go Home

BIG things arrived at Hulk's today, starting with our massive new beautiful display banner.  It now proudly stands outside.  We also got some additional banners -- advertising banners to be set up around town.  This marks our VERY FIRST advertising attempt.
And this more massive than massive parking sign, measuring in at 6ft by 18ft, is probably one of our lasts attempts at getting rid of these pesky parkers before we "unleash the hounds" on them.
Note, the sign reads in black that non member cars parked here will be towed.
Today also marked the start of Hulk's being the official drop-off location for a thoughtful Christmas gift donation drive for a local orphanage.
After a couple of my members asked how they could get involved, I decided that as a club we'd take up a dry food collection to accompany the gifts.  Pyen Chi got involved by automatically labelling herself the Christmas orphanage charity drop-off box security.
A huge kettle arrived at Hulk's today too.  So now, in addition to serving up sweet potatoes, we now can help keep visitors and members warm with some healthy barley tea.
