As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Hulk Smashing Sunday

I may not be all freakishly strong like the REAL Korean Hulk, but I definitely do try to HULK SMASH those weekend lazy vibes to smithereens!!!
As for our Korean Hulk, he's been hulk smashing perhaps a bit too much, hence the hand wrap that functioned as a hand brace for him.
As it wasn't hard enough for our Hulkies to train with the Hulk himself, and all his tough love he sends their way, him training them with this mask on was just too hilarious.  Props to though who made it through one round with him like this today.... you rock!!!
And just like I had predicted, I couldn't not run.  I just had to get in my long run for the week, if not to stay on top of my prep work for my half marathon then to keep myself sane.
The doctor had specifically told me, "Don't go running a half marathon.  You need to rest."
A half marathon is 21km and that's not what I ran.  I only ran 20kms.
My pacing was rather disappointing and it surely reflected the situation with my legs but I was happy to get in some solid distance, even if my legs aren't up to par right now.
