As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Marvelous May at Hulk's... Wednesday, April 30

Upcoming Hulk May Events:

5th-6th Spring Fling Camping Trip
With it being Children's Day on the fifth and Budha's Birthday on the 6th, these are national holidays so we'll be taking a small crew of Hulkies out of the city and out to the ocean countryside for some camping, relaxation, good times, and good eating too.

11th Team Flipside Marathon

This was definitely a last minute decision to enter a small team in for the 10km and half marathon but with the original Cheonan Sanglok Marathon postponed until September because of the sinking of the Sewol ferry, we were itching to put all our hard training to the test.  And even though we may be a small team of just four women, we're fiercely fabulous.  One of my running partners is participating in the 10km with another friend of ours and I'll be doing the half marathon with one of my female Hulkies who has ran full marathons -- very impressed with her running!

26th-30th Fitness Challenge, Round One
In previous months, I have posed various fitness challenges for our Hulkies to compete in and beat their own numbers and records.  Past challenges have included wall squats, release push-ups, tricep dips, and the ever-so-hate but ever-so-good plank.  I haven't yet announced this month's fitness challenge but it's going to be good, real good.
