As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Rain May have Cooled the Club but our Hulkies Heated it Right Up

With the rain starting up in the early afternoon, I sat in the front window of Hulk's and started mapping out the renovations that we will be doing in the next month.
Bromance in full effect -- Kato and Snickers rolling their handwraps together.
Oh and look, it's the third member of their bromance threesome -- WOW President.  Check out the massive ear-to-ear grin on Snickers as he greets WOW at the door... too funny.

Tonight we let the Byung Cheon Duo go at it in the ring.

They were a hot mess, totally all over the place with their hooks and jabs but I promise you this, they'll be the first to excel in boxing if already they're willing to step into the ring and spar.
Unlike doing padwork and working the sandbags, sparring isn't such a controlled and predictable learning medium and that's what makes it so great.  It is the closest you'll get to a real boxing bout.
