Exhaustion.
The state of being extremely tired, the act of using all of something.
Exhaustion, definitely the theme of the day and the over used and abused adjective used in all we did today.
Exhaustion, it was what I felt when I woke up today and had to clean the club after only a 5hr sleep.
Exhaustion was surely what my body was feeling after training a maxed-out attendance of Hulkies today.
Exhaustion was me being asked for the billionth time why I haven't planted those dang trees by a whole crew of in-laws that came right during our busiest hour.
Exhaustion was definitely what I did when I kicked off this month's fitness challenge -- me, 350 double leg lifts.
Exhaustion was what I felt when the last Hulkie left Hulk's at 12:49am.
Exhaustion was Snickers returning to our old apartment to paint and rewallpaper at 1:30am.
Exhaustion was me having to scrap gum off the front area floor at 2am and club laundry.
Exhaustion was me waiting for that same club laundry to finally finish so I could hang it -- it finished at 3am.
Exhaustion was Snickers returning at 3:30am.
Exhaustion was Snickers and I at 4am, when we finally went to bed.
Despite exhaustion being the theme of our days and many of our days being super exhausting as such, I vouch that we're able to continue because we love our jobs. My key to success, my means of keeping up with such an action-packed lifestyle and career, has always been the following
- eat healthy
- stay hydrated
- keep my stress levels in check by changing my perspective on struggles -- view them as challenges to beat up and overcome
- stay silly and sometimes be down right immature
- surround myself with positive people, people who help me grow and inspire me
- nap when I can
- give myself daily "me time" for reflection and just flat out silence with my own thoughts
- make sure my cappuccino is strong and hot
Ok, so the last one seems silly but my morning cap is a much needed part of my daily routine, not only because it helps wake me up but because I enjoy it during my quiet "me time".
Today was our very first day waking up to an official work day and we had totally exhausted it.
