As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

An Unexpected Date, Unexpected Shopping, and Expected Work

An unexpected date with my husband who, I must note here, looks way more innocent than actually is!
What's a date without some coffee?!  Exactly.
And of course, some silly faces from Snickers was to be expected too... hahaha.
My unexpected date turned into some unexpected shopping.
I don't like clothes shopping so I left that it to Snickers on what to buy while I played around with some of the items in the store.  The homegirl flower-infested hat isn't my thing but Snickers asked me to try it on.
As for what is my thing... our thing... working on our time off, apparently.
Our club is definitely one big dose of trial and error and I think that's what makes it so great to us, because our hard work and effort is in everything that's in it.  Well, our trial and error flooring needs some work that's rather overdue so tonight we started fixing it up.
