As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Working Before Work and Plans for More Work... Monday, June 16

You know Monday is seriously going to kick your butt when you're exhausted before work starts because you've already put in 5hrs of work.  Today's Monday kicked our butt and just when we were coming up to 10pm and thought we had pushed through the hardest part, 6 new people asked to join our club.

Coffee, my friend.  Coffee... A good strong cap with an extra shot does wonders for my entire day.

Renovations are well on the way and i am sure our members don't even notice.  I'm sure it's a mix of I-don't-notice an I-don't-care but I definitely notice and I definitely care.  Initially the plan was to invest in air conditioning but we ran into a huge problem -- we don't have enough power coming into our club to support such a system.  Our alternative fix for now has been to keep both the back door and front door open with a metal fence set up at the back door/doggy corridor to keep the pups from entering the club.  So far so good, surprisingly enough. We thought they'd back at the sight of everyone and at all the noise within the club but they've been so incredibly good and actually I think they prefer it as suppose to the large door being closed.  It means more Hulkies say hi to them and many try to pet them.

So the air conditioner idea is out the window, leaving us with a chunk of change to put to other good use.  Our chunk of change can hardly be considered change but instead is the rental key deposit we'll be getting back from our former apartment.  We're planning to put a big portion of it towards our start-up sponsor loan, put some in the bank and then we've been picking our brains as to what to do with the rest of it.  I've been making a wish list for how I want to designate a portion of it though I must admit here it's not a realistic list and it's total amount is well beyond the actual total amount we'll be getting back.  A girl can wish though, right?! Exactly.

MY WISH LIST FOR HULK'S:
