As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Work, Work, Work and Bright Pants to Get me Through It All

They say an entrepreneur is someone who works an 80 hour work week to avoid a 40 hour one but I ask what entrepreneur only works 80 hours?!  And on that note, this was the scene at Hulk's today.
Continuation of the floor renovating, at 9am this morning.
We continued until 12:40pm, then did our usual club-prep daily cleaning.  The floor is still not done.
Mondays are always super busy but they greet us with much anticipation that they'll leave us in pure exhaustion so today I broke out some extra bright training clothes, hoping they'll keep me in bright spirits.
And it was a super busy Monday.  With so many Hulkies coming in to work off their weekends and start their work week off right, we were busy, but we were extra busy today with the return of many former Hulkies.  We even had a four-legged special guest visitor -- Pacquiao's father, Baek Com.
And, like most Mondays, we also welcomed the arrival of many new Hulkies.
Here's Snickers training 6 new Hulkies that arrived at once -- one group of 5 friends plus a random new guy.
Mondays definitely are by far our most successful day of the week but they're consequently our busiest and most exhausting day.  I took this shot at the end of our work day today and though I look smiley in it perhaps it's because the day was finally done.
Mondays are officially my day off training now on account that they're just too energy consuming and I really can't risk running out of energy.

When playing ultimate frisbee I would wear all yellow too! Yellow cleats, Hawaiian shorts and yellow t-shirt. Easier for people to find me.. a giant 6'2" banana.. lmao
