As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Day of Hard Training and Hard Fights

This was our BEFORE shot.
Notice how smiley we are and how carefree we are with our peace signs.
The weekend Crossfit Challenger class is quite the workout.  And though I admit it wasn't as intense as last week's with it's lack of free time in between sets, it was still very intense and the proof was in the bodily fluids left on the floor, most of which was sweat but there were two minor splashes of vomit.
And this is our AFTER shot.
Notice how we're too tired to raise our peace signs and our posture is slumped.
There was no peace, that workout kicked our butts!!!
This was a pleasant surprise -- a surprise visit from one of my former sparring partners from my former club.  Here's to hoping he joins our club and we resume sparring because with his weight loss we're now pretty much the same height and weight.
Usually after our Free Train on the weekends members stick around or we go out and do something together.  Tonight it was Road FC so we threw an imprompt chicken party and some members stayed to watch the Road FC with us.
Saturday night fight-watching at Hulk's, any better and it'd be one of us fighting.
We capped the night off with Snickers and I heading out for a coffee date, just the two of us.  We headed over to one of our favourite coffee shops.
