As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Always Something New and Something to Do at Hulk's

After some minor setbacks and a few too close for comfort electrical shots, the juice bar lighting and the lighting in the back hall are finally finished!!!
And today we welcomed the arrival of our new InBody230 Machine.
With all her modern buttons, language options and printing capabilities, she's a very fine-tuned complex beauty.
Sparring Day kicked off tonight at 7pm with Snickers proudly sporting this Maui Thai headgear that he bought off this vintage second hand store down the street.
First up for tonight's sparring challenge was one of our younger Hulkies -- a handicap boy who has been asking me everyday this week if he "really gets to spar" with Snickers.
Two other of our mini Hulkies also stepped into the ring tonight but this time it was to go against each other.
What a match!!!
In the middle of August there's going to be an amateur tournament that we'll be sending some of our boxers to fight in and I suspect we're going to select the young boxer in the blue headgear here to be one of those boxers.
Once Sparring Day was over and the club hours were close to ending, some members visited while others returned and together we watched "Superman".
