As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Down for Training and Down for the Count

Tested out the day's crossfit circuit class with three Hulkies -- my "elite testers".

To my left, there was one of my younger Hulkies, a 20 year gal who goes hard with her weight training and has proven to be quite the hardcore boxer with now doing a few Fridays of sparring.
And to my right were two other Hulkies -- one member who is determined to train as hard as she can and always tries to kick her own butt, and another member who is always pushing the limits with what weights he uses and what weights he "suggests" I use.
We would have sat up for a nicer posed picture but we were just that exhausted -- too exhausted.
And here are four of my mini Hulkies BEFORE their training.
There is no picture of them after their training because they pretty much fled the scene and then lounged in the locker/change room.
I didn't close the club till a bit after midnight; I closed it alone because Snickers headed out of town to see a grieving friend.  This was specially delievered for me tonight after I had mentioned I was craving it so after I closed the club I sat down to enjoy it.
It is cold chestnut soup and it's loaded with delish things -- cucumbers, kim (seaweed), seasame seeds, kimchi, ice chunks, and those brown jelly-like things well that's basically grinded chestnuts that have been made into a jelly.  Sounds a bit odd but it is oh so delish!!!
