As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Excuses are for People Who Don't Want it Bad Enough

Renovations continued today... don't they always.
And while we renovated and cleaned, our four-legged friends helped by providing some much needed cute distraction.
This was what was worked on today -- some extra lighting for under the juice bar.
It's only half finished thanks to some hit and miss, almost-electrocuting wiring work we did.
Later in the evening I hosted Hulk's first ever Crossfit Challenger class and what a challenge, woozers!!!
It was pretty cool to have Snickers join my class, this was a first.
I think I almost pushed him to the point of puking at one point though, perhaps at this exact point when I took this shot.  He looks kind of like he's "holding back" here, if you know what I mean.  He's hardcore.
It was a super tough class but it was THEM who insisted we up our weights and up the reps to each set.
Note here that one of my class participants went MIA in the fourth set.
Whereas another participant kept on trekking through my class, despite how exhausted she was.
I for one was way too proud of all their efforts and dedication to continuing the class to be able to take my smile off my face despite how hard it was for me too to continue.
I always tell my members, "I wouldn't give you anything I myself couldn't do", so on that note I pushed myself through the Crossfit Challenger class and yelled at them to do the same.
And when the last round of the last set finished, I tell you, the feeling of pure satisfaction was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
So proud of my Hulkies.  We were a small class tonight but boy were we a fierce one!!!
Dinner with  my Crossfit Challenger class Hulkies and some other Hulkies ended with chatting and cheering time for those who stayed to linger with us into the late evening.
Thank you to everyone who came out for Free Train tonight and who joined us for a post-training meal.
A special thank you and extra props to those who took me up on the Crossfit Challenger class!!!
