As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thrift Shop Street Tour Time

Went on a walking tour of all the second-hand clothing stores around Hulk's and I for starters will note that I didn't even know they were second-hand shops.  I seriously just thought the store owners had bad taste in clothing, no fashion sense.
You'd be surprise at all the goodies we found, in addition to the strange and deranged.

I liked these, seriously I did.  At first I thought they were so cheesy looking but the more and more I thought about them, the more and more I was sure I could pull these off in the club.  Hey, if I can wear zebra pants and strange saying shirts, that sparkly shoes are not a problem.
I must say, I was quite impressed with the shops.  Cheonan may be considered country style to some but in comparrision to Canada' second-hand shops, these kick butt.
As for something else that kicks butt, this meal kicks mad butt!!!
At the restuarant down the street from Hulk's, the couple there know I love my protein so my bibimbap is loaded with three eggs, tons of veggies, rice on the side, and of course more eggs among the various side dishes.  All this, a meal for two, costs us only $8... nice.
