As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Cutting Down and Weighing In

Headed off to a beautiful water park to enjoy some sun and fun, aka sweat off and burn off some of my remaining weight that I have to lose.
If you look in between the palm tree leaves on the left, you'll notice a cart.  It takes riders up to this massive tower overlooking the water park.  They also have roller coasters but I stuck to swimming in the pool and racing down the water slides.
...and of course, a picture for one of my sponsors... hahaha.
Later in the evening we headed back to the boxing club for the official weigh-in.
My coach tried to distract me from the lateness at which weigh-in started at but I found a familiar face on the wall that helped to cheer me up... my fellow fierce Korean boxing friend, Danbi!!!
Weigh-in was followed by a long meeting, lots of pictures, and then some eating.
I tell you, nothing tastes quite as delish as simple water when you've been cutting weight.  As a part of the Thai meal they served me tonight, they fed me spicy bamboo... it was delish!
