As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Train Hard and, Trust Me, the Cold Won't be Your Problem!!!

It's cold, so what... train, that will keep you warm!!!
The drop in the temperatures this week didn't stop those who really want change and challenge from coming out to training so this week we've upped the intensity of their training.
I've been doing Crossfit Circuit training as opposed to our usual Crossfit Classes (4 sets of 4 rounds).
With it being Thursday, today we did a full body circuit.
And trust me, those who did my circuit today, being cold wasn't even a thought on their mind.
Only one set into my circuit and everyone was feeling more than toasty warm, glistening with sweat.
Today I was very eager and very excited to have two of my big guys do their monthly weigh-in.
They've been telling me since last week, giving me a daily countdown, and tonight they both stepped on the scale.  One of them left me hanging in suspense, till after 11pm before he came in for weigh-in.
They BOTH dropped an impressive 4% body fat.
"Treated" the late weigh-in member by training with him.  I had already done my boxing and weight training today but decided I'd give two of our late-training members a little extra push by doing today's Crossfit Circuit with them.  And, as you can see in the above picture of one of my members dying to finish it, it was brutally hard but totally worth it.
