As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Off to Granny's Home

We headed out of town today to celebrate the Seollal New Year at Granny Kim's house so we got to see many of the in-laws.  K-Gere was there and of course Granny Kim.
My little nieces are quite grown up now compared to last year so that was a pleasant surprise.
Check her out.  She can cook better than most people my age!!!
Granny Kim's house had as much food scattered around the place as it did in-laws.
Everyone was busy preparing some kind of food.
And what a massively-crowded table of food they all put together... holy delish!
But before we ate, in true traditional style, we held a ceremony for Grandpa Kim.
Of course it wasn't all work and no play.
Leave it to me to think sneaking up on Snickers in the outhouse is funny and to try to teach my nieces how to squat each other... too funny!!!
After we headed over to Grandpa Kim's burial site.
We paid our respects, had a little ceremony and then watched as the two nieces melted us with their cuteness by kissing his tomb.
