As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

That's Not Swag, That's Worked-Out Legs!!!... Tuesday, February 3

Got my butt kicked royally with weight training today on account that one female Hulkie came to specifically workout with solely me right at the start of work.  She waited for me to finish my boxing and then we weight trained together.  Then one of my late evening crossfit class members egged me on to train with them (as opposed to just teaching the class).  I told them I'd join in but only if we did the class as a circuit and not with the timer -- I like to stress the muscles more by going slower and more controlled.  So today was leg day and it always proves to be an easy day to go overboard with training because I absolutely love leg day and that's exactly what happened.

Today's weight training consisted of the following:
2PM ROUTINE:
3x10  Tire flips
3x10  Burpees
3x10  Sumo squat sandbag jumps
3x10  Narrow squat jumps
3x10  Walking lunges (two 14kgs kettlebells)
3x10  Sumo squats (20kg kettlebell)
3x10  Plank with leg lifts
3x10  Mountain climbers
CROSSFIT CIRCUIT CLASS:
3x10  Sumo squat jacks
3x10  Narrow squat jumps
3x10  Bulgarian split squats (14kg kettlebell)
3x10  Side lunges (14kg kettlebell)
3x10  Side step sumo squats (20kg kettlebell)
3x10  Revese lunges (14kg kettlebell)
3x10  Hamstring curls (stability ball)
3x10  Plank with leg lifts (stability ball)
...yuppers, you guessed it, my legs were swollen by the end of the day, my butt was in a perma flex, and I was walking with a funny swag because of it all.   But I looooooooved it.  Work for the burn baby, earn the burn... respect the burn.  That burn is telling ya you did your body good so love the burn!
