As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Beach Bound and then More Coffee

Ocean bound once again... just love this place!
I just had to snap shots of this little guy, he seemed to have a childhood love story unraveling right in front of us.  He had randomly picked up this little girl who was playing by him at the park with her family.  It was adorable.  He got out, opened up the door for her and then, when she sat down, he reached over to close the door and then kept his arm around her.
About a dozen shots later and probably only a few minutes, the girl insisted she get out of the car so both the little boy and the little girl got out.  She then jumped back in and picked up her little sister.  The boy jumped on the hood of the truck to try to stop them.  It didn't quite work and instead they drove for a bit with him on it.  The girl had officially ditched him for another girl.
Kids and families infested every inch of the ocean side, even the skateboard park.
...and of course the playground.
Many had camped over or had set up tents to relax in during the day.
We joined the growing crowd at the stage for a free concert.  A local band was singing English pop songs.
This was by far the coolest part of our trip out to the ocean -- a trail of 100 kites strung together.
Do you know what a 100 kites tied together looks like in the sky?  Better yet, do you know what 100 kites tied together feels like?  Pulling on the rope that connected them all was like pulling on a truck, incredibly strong!!!
On route back to Cheonan, many traveling motorcycles passed by us.  I ended up exchanging some smiles and short comments with one particular rider who noticed my blond hair waving out the window and took it upon himself to try to ride right beside my window for a bit.
No sooner did I return to Cheonan but then I was off to a coffee date with a
good friend/ Hulkie/ down-right-sweet guy.
