As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

So Much for a Lazy Sunday... Sunday, April 12

Today I had no running, no boxing, no sparring, and no weight training. But I did work in my new runners from yesterday with a long ocean side stroll with my hubby ...my man ...my main squeeze...the pain in my butt but beat of my heart... Snickers.

We headed out again to one of our favourite spot which apparently is also becoming a more frequently visited spot.  With a lunch packed, coffee in hand and a full tank of gas, we left Cheonan and headed ocean side.

Business and pleasure shouldn't mix but when you run your own business and you're in love with it, surely the two do mix.  I argue that there is often really no difference between the two or no real crossover line between then on most days and today was no different.  Phase 2 of Hulk's is all Snickers seems to talk about these days and so our romantic walk by the ocean was bombarded with talks about the club, needed additional sponsors and what's next.

Upon returning back to Cheonan, business talks turned into business meetings with Snickers heading off to seek business advice from our main sponsor, Wow, and me rambling on about Phase 2 with a friend over coffee.

If I'm not training or at the boxing club, then I'm either talking about training or the boxing club.

Coffee with a friend was great and because it was with a trusted friend I was able to bounce ideas around with and get an honest opinion.  Coffee was then followed by me heading over to the bookstore to buy a book for me to joint my Phase Two ideas in and then me heading home and jotting things down in my new book. I had woken up at noon and anticipated it being a super lazy Sunday but the productivity level of my late evening definitely made up for such a late start to my day.
