As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Magic of a Uniform... Saturday, May 30

If there were ever such a thing as magic it'd be in the form of a sports uniform.  And while I've always believed a boxer's uniform is the hottest, perhaps because of the lack of actual clothing (just shorts), tonight it was a baseball uniform that caught my eye and made me smile.

Tonight I headed out down the street to watch Snickers and his baseball team.  Last game I watched they didn't actually put him in the game so we missed a few weeks.  I argue that he's the best player on the team, after all Snickers seems to have an amazing talent to be perfect at pretty much any sport he tries his hand at.

I went ocean fishing with him on his first try, he hooked more fish than anyone else on the entire boat -- there were over 40 people fishing.

Wonder Boy took Snickers on a scuba trip to the Philippines before Snickers even knew how to swim and not only did he get his license but he also learnt how to swim in the deep sea all in one week.

And his amazing ability to pick up any sport he tries goes beyond sports actually.

Snickers got a car before he learnt how to drive but went and drove that car home the day he got it.

He was nervous when he stepped up to bat today but I knew he'd do awesome and he definitely did.  On his first hit he smacked that ball way out to right field, brought in a runner on third and got himself on second base.  He stood there on that base so super happy, waving his arms in the air to make sure I saw just where he was.  It was adorable.
