Attention everyone and anyone I will run into while with my dad,
Just to let you know, as if you didn't already, I came from Canada where I run my own boxing club and even though many of you know it, expect for my dad to remind you. I'm convinced my dad has introduced me to everyone he's ran into, even the custodian at the Tim Horton's coffee shop and one of the girls at the grocery stores. I should note that despite him not actually really knowing these people beyond perhaps crossing paths with them as he goes about his daily things he is so quick to tell them about me. Take for example going to the grocery store to buy groceries. I pulled out my wallet, told him I got it, but then he insists that he pays. "She's on vacation. She's from Korea. Do you know my daughter has the biggest boxing club in Korea?" he says. Of course they don't know, they don't know me from a whole in the wall nor would they know me but my father is just the proudest dad walking around with me and he's so quick to toot my horn and brag about me to anyone who listens. I think it's quite cute but I can just imagine the people listening to him as he tells them about me. They smile at him, listen, and most will tell me congrats and to enjoy my vacation, so everyone is super sweet about letting him say what he wants to say.
Today was Father's Day and it only elevated things all that more. I was introduced to his favourite waitress at one of the restaurants where my parents used to always go together. At church I shook numerous people's hands and listened to him rant and rave about me, and then later on I heard him on the phone telling a friend about me.
My dad is my biggest fan and it's adorable. Coming to Canada for Father's Day was absolutely perfect.
