As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

For the Love of Chicken and Friends... Sunday, July 5

Attended my former church out in Toronto today with my dad, Faith Sanctuary.  I love that church.  The pastor remembered me and the crowd was as energetic and positive as I remembered.  The service usually goes for a little over a hour, maybe a hour and a half.  Today's service, two hours -- two hours of pure positivity.
What's a Sunday morning at church without following it up with lunch out at the Swiss?!  Exactly.
Went for the classic quarter chicken with a house garden salad.
In the evening I headed over to a good friend's house for a very special BBQ -- "beer can chicken".
It was a first for me but it's a genius idea because the chicken comes out super juicy, ultra delish.
She's got an adorable backyard patio that is super cozy and very relaxing.
I love their swing!  They also have a fire pit too... holy smore fun!!!
I offered to help, numerous times, but they were super sweet in insisting I let them do their thang so I kicked up my heels, sipped on some wine and nibbled on some shrimp.  I was totally spoiled!!!
I am definitely being spoiled here in Canada and tonight was no different.
Awesome food, great chats and fabulous people!
Grabbed some camera action before they drove me home.
Why can't they live in Korea or me live in Canada?!  The more I get ready to leave this country the more I find myself struggling to do so.
