As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Am Back in Toronto... Monday, July 6

Changed my plane ticket...again, and when I say again I mean for the second again actually.  My official new departure date is Friday, 1:45am.  I'll reach Korea by this Saturday afternoon.

Got my hair trimmed and I got it trimmed even shorter than before.  I love it.  It makes my face look a lot more feminine, or at least that's my opinion, and I think it's fabulous.  I was almost tempted to get my gal pal to shave the other half of my head, do it in a style similar to hers, but I'm not as bold or brave as her.  Some day maybe.

Returned to Toronto where I'll be staying for the next few days and no sooner did I arrive at Union Station but then I headed straight up to System's Fitness for training.  Walked into System Fitness and shocked Manager Eddy when he turned around and noted I was there, "there" as in here in Canada still.

Ended up training a member at Systems in boxing after I seriously felt embarrassed for him with his total lack of knowing what the heck he was doing.  He kept on kicking up his foot with every two he threw the sandbag and so I called him on it.  I called him out on it repetively, perhaps too much actually, and I realized this when I found myself yelling out to him from the other end of the gym.  Everyone stopped and starred at me.  I was only trying to help, honestly, but perhaps in trying to train him I had popped back into my usual tough Coach Amy frame of mind.  I ended up appologizing him, that is after I joked about wanting to kick him for continually lifting up his leg.

I've been busy, busy, busy but at 11:23pm I finally got a chance to sit down and just watch some good old English-speaking TV.... The Bachelorette popped on, okay sure.  Not the best of shows to tune into but I don't get a lot of English shows in Korea and it's not exactly like I even have a couch to sit down on and watch TV.  I sit on the edge of our boxing ring to watch TV.  It's comfortable but you can never really get into lazy mode leaning on the boxing ring ropes.  Anyways, I watched about 40 minutes of it before I figured I had had enough.  Now I know why I don't miss Western TV, woozers.  That chick kissed all the dudes, all 4 of the remaining dudes, and it was just annoying.
