As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Food and Tunes

Headed out to do some grocery shopping today with Snickers.
I love my food, it fuels my training, so grocery shopping is one of my all time favourite things to do... seriously, I'm not joking.  I occasionally even wear heels to the grocery store, that's how special it is to me... also not joking about that either.
And what do you do when you have four floors of escalators to travel up just to get your food, well, take pictures of each other of course... hello this IS Korea.
And yes, everything IS fabulous.  I am young, healthy, happy and heading to Canada soon to start this scary exciting new chapter of my life... very fabulous!
I spent a good chunk of my evening listening to music, blasting some tunes in the club.
I posted a remixed song dedication to my friends in Canada and then sat singing random favourite tunes for all the neighbors to hear.
It was a very chill Saturday night... usually almost always is.
I had promised Snickers that we'd have a little celebration tonight for his birthday so we indulged in some delish cheese cake and he had some of the Crown Royal Maple I had bought for him in Canada.  It smelt really good, super sweet, but it was way too strong for either of us to have more than a simple sip.
I sang happy birthday to him in English and Korean... he was all smiles.

Why not take Snickers to Canada with you?
