As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

All About the Furry Love... Sunday, August 2

Spent a good chunk of my day seriously designating my time to going to see some four-legged friends as opposed to going to see some two-legged friends (aka people) and say goodbye.

Today I saw Hulk Jr, Mingo and K.

Hulk Jr. has been officially renamed by one of my little nephews because now they live together.  I say "little nephew" but my nephew who renamed him isn't exactly little, he has a bit of an eating problem actually, hence the new name he appointed Hulk Jr. -- Cookie.

Mingo is the little kitten that lives at the brunch restaurant Snickers and I often go to on Sundays after he picks me up from church -- the restaurant is called Mingo.  I'm not impressed with the lack of creativity with the name.

And K, he's a beautiful black Kane Corso who lives out in the countryside in Mokcheon, at one of the houses belonging to a future potential sponsor of Hulk's.  I don't know if he's called K as in "Kae", short form for "dog" in Korean, or the Korean man who named him was just hard up for a creative name and picked a random letter in the English alphabet.  I argue that it stands for "karma" because the dog was originally purchased to be a security dog for the house but he does the exact opposite.  He's overly affectionate to both Snickers and I but isn't particularly nice or caring towards his actual owner who isn't mean to him but always teases him and gives him a hard time.
