As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Banana, Bananas... Monday, September 28

I woke up at 6:25am today, a usual early morning for me.  I had boxing at 7:30am and so I had to leave my apartment around 6:40am.
The bus didn't show up until a bit after 7am.
This is bananas.

With the Canadian weather apparently jumping from summer straight into winter, standing outside for over 20 minutes is going to...
A.  Drive me bonkers.
B.  Make me freeze to death.
C.  Drive my blood pressure through the roof...or sky, I guess I should say.
D.  Make me curse myself for picking my current residence.
That was the first annoyance of the day.

The second came when I arrived home and my landlady was talking a mile a minute, loud and proud in French on the phone...nonstop.  I laid in my bed, kicking my legs up and down with frustration.  I couldn't fall asleep and I needed to get in a bit of a rest before the kettle bell class at noon up at System.

No such luck.

Oh, I fell asleep but not at the right time, nor did I wake up at the right time either.  Totally missed the kettle bell class I was to participated in.  Woke up with just enough time to book it off to coach my 3pm Boxfit class.
This is bananas.
