As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Launch Time is Party Time... Saturday, September 5

Misfit Island, the production company in charge of the comic book that will be written about me, threw a launch party tonight.

Of course I went.

Of course I brought friends, too.

And of course I had fun, too.

It was one of those I'm-not-sure-what's-going-on-but-okay kind of parties where I caught up with some high school and elementary friends but also mingled with fans of the FanExpo dressed in comic book customs and various local and bigger-name celebrities, like a dude from YTV and a female porn star.  I was invited as a VIP guest so I hung out in the VIP room where a game of limbo broke out among a group of what looked like pin-up girls and characters from the comic book Archie.  It was a good crowd, a strange crowd but a good crowd.  A friend of mine from high school performed his music tonight while a group of us from the same school enjoyed it.

I did a media interview for the upcoming book and despite them going over what to expect for it I was just honoured to even be having this opportunity.

I'm going to be a superhero in a comic book about my life,  that's pretty damn cool.  Not many people can say that!  They'll be starting the interviewing of me for it soon and so I was told they'd be luring me with food because it's going to take a lot of time.  "You had me at chicken", I told them.  I am so stoked about this, very stoked.

Are you planning on updating us about what's going on in Korea? Your dogs, your (ex?) husband/partner, the club? It feels extremely weird that you have simply erased that part of your life from the blog. Unless it's mostly erased from your actual, real life as well.
