As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Swapping the Bags and Weights for a Path... Sunday, September 27

My coach told me to take a day off the gym so I did.
I didn't go boxing at the boxing club.
I didn't go weight training at the fitness club.
I did however go running in the park.

Ended up running into a girl that I recognize from the neighbourhood -- we've chatted at the bus stop before -- so we jogged a bit together.  I pushed her through a gruelling stairs circuit and she got a bit of revenge with snapping my pic.

What was supposed to be a simple 6-7km run turned into a lengthy run with an all-out sprint at the end when the sun started going down and I had no idea where I was.

I ran 15km.
