As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Xtreme Training and Extreme Food Choices

Checked out some training action at Xtreme.
This particular female fighter has a fight coming up this Friday.
Xtreme is pretty awesome but it's also pretty massive.
There was a class going on in their big padded floor area so I got to see that.
Turns out one of my buddies from when I worked up at Elim in Peterborough works here and teaches some of the crossfit classes. He wasn't in today but I'll have to come back when he is.

And in unrelated news... grocery shopping fun!!!
Cut butternut squash, cut sweet potatoes and plucked and pre-washed spinach,
three examples of why I can't believe all Canadians here don't eat healthy!!!
It's so easy to eat healthy in Canada.  Not only are the labels all in English but the convience of the foods and the selections are crazy good.  No one washes my spinach or nicely cuts my potatoes in Korea.  They're basically ripped out of the ground and then sold to me.
And don't even get me started on the fabulocity of the frozen food department!!!
...or the awesomeness of protein sources.
So much for me heading to the grocery store to pick up some bananas!!!!
