As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Longest Non Work Day... Monday, October 12

The boxing club was closed today on account of the Thanksgiving holiday but in an effort to keep focused on my training, to keep a routine, and partly to keep me from going stir crazy from the lack of things to do I told Coach Brown to keep my class on the schedule.  Posted the class as an Open Box class, a new idea Coach Brown asked me to play with and test out.

My Open Box class was a huge success.

Hopefully it'll get added as a regular weekly class!  I personally think it'd be a great lunch time class for our members to join because it's a basically just a circuit that you can start and finish according to how hard and how long you want to push yourself.  You don't necessarily have to come right at the start of the class and that's a part of the beauty of it.  Tonight one of my members showed up about 18 minutes after the rest of the crew had started my circuit but he was able to jump right in with no problem and no interruption to the rest of the class.

Prior to going in for my class however I got a text message from one of my coworkers.  His key was working and he knew I had a key too.  I showed up to let him in and upon noting that him and his Mauy Thai boxer would be sparring I decided to stay and watch.

After my Open Box class there was a group that was coming in later to use the club (they rent the space) so I had to open the door for them.  Decided to just stay at the club and then I did my boxing training while they exercised.

I arrived  at the club around 1pm and left at roughly 8:30pm
