As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Training Tough on a Day of Relaxation

My day started off on a super chill note with me meeting up with one of my long time high school friends for a morning coffee and good girl giggles.
In the early afternoon one of my coworkers asked me to open the club for him and that's where the day turned and became all about training.  Stayed there to watch them train.
I hosted a special holiday class and these were the kicka$$ tough cookies that came out.
Honestly, I couldn't have picked a more positive group of people to train on this day off even if I had tried.  They were on fire and gave it everything with training today!!!
They were unstoppable and I was so very impressed.
In the evening a girls-only crew came in to train so that just added to the awesome energy of the day here at the boxing club.
And while the ladies trained so did I.
I had caught wind of their electric energy and went hardcore with my own training.
