As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Upping Training and Temptations... Wednesday, December 2

You know it... the pre-sparring pic!!!
And the post sparring pic!!!
The other week a promoter in Edmonton called my coach up and told him 'Make sure she's ready" so ever since then we've been looking to up my training.  Sparring twice a week is one way.  I now spar a total of 20 rounds every week -- 8 on Wednesday, 12 on Friday.
It was Coach Brown's birthday today so I took him out to our favourite breakfast restaurant downtown -- Eggspectations.  I love, love, LOOOOOOVE this place!!!

Today made for a long day on account that System Fitness was hosting their customer appreciation party so I had to get in my training earlier than usual because I had to do it before the festivities started.
My buddy Double J and I were working the heavy bags when we spotted this guy -- Spiderman!!!  I of course had to snap a picture of him because, well, he's Spiderman.
And talking about snapping pics, check this out!!!  It's like a mountain of veggies fit for a king! This was part of the party food that System provided.  Loved it!
Check out this cake, woozers!  It was huge and talk about mad temptation.
When I heard that Wonder Woman was in attendance you know I just had to search her out.  I mean, it's Wonder Woman!!!  She was mingling in the daycare with the little kiddies but when the daycare director saw the excitement on my face at the sight of Wonder Woman she asked me if I wanted to go in to meet her.  "No need to ask, it's a FOR SURE yes!", I told her.  I told Wonder Woman she was super awesome and she turned and said my hair was super awesome.  What a woman.  That's what fierce women are all about -- lifting each other up!
The gym was busting with people and different tables were various companies had displays.  This one company was giving out some kind of cards to those who wanted to participate in popping balloons.  Those who participated had to punch the balloons (the glove had a pin taped on it) so I stood there trying to give my professional advice... hahaha.
And what's a party without food?!  Exactly.  It was ultra delish!
I was smart in that I trained before the tables of food got set up but not everyone had thought ahead.  See those two on the treadmills right in range of the massive cake, that's my buddy Man Up and Ginger Spice.  Man Up is all smiles in this shot but oh the temptation for him to stop running and dig into the cake and other foods was crazy high.
