As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Sunday of Sweat, Stress and Songs

This was the scene at my house today after I returned from weight training-- me slaving away on some computer work and my roomie slaving away at her school essay.
And then this was the scene that went down later tonight -- me and some of my friends from church all sitting around listening to live music.
I didn't get pictures of everyone but there was a solid crew of us.
One of the girls from my church performed tonight and I was so impressed.
Not only is she so gifted on the guitar and with her singing but she also writes her own music.  I don't honestly know what I was expecting but I was definitely blown away!
The singer that performed right after her impressed me too.
Check out what is by his feet -- two pedals.  He's a one-man band and those two pedals gave his performance some background percussion sounds, very cool!
