As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Big News and Big Food

Check it out; hot off the press.
So that good-for-nothing "pick-up artist" didn't end up coming to Toronto afterall.
I suspect he hid in his mother's basement because, well, that's where he lives.
He didn't show up but Newsroom Girls Boxing definitely showed up and boy did these ladies make some noise -- free downtown boxing demonstration lesson.
I loooooooove it how fierce and how strong the ladies are here. I fit right in.
So much for me being a starving athlete, well, I am still a starving athlete in terms of walking around with close-to empty pockets but today I felt super spoiled.
This was my lunch and it comprised of various homecooked foods dropped off for me.
As for tonight's dinner, I was spoiled for that too.
Was picked up and taken to a sweet hotspot on the Danforth -- Square Boy.
Square Boy is a Greek restaurant that is always buzzing with a long line of people.
The food is definitely worth the wait though.
Voila... see, I told you it was worth the wait.  Holy delish!
