As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Quite the Commute for a Simple Visit

Had to head out to Ajax today, to see my family doctor, so I jumped on the Go Train.
And what initially started off as two pages from the Ontario Athletic Association for my Ontario pro card resulted in more pages being added -- totaled 8 pages!
It also meant I had to strip down twice and put on some "fancy" hospital blues.
It also resulted in one really awkward moment with my doctor -- see today's entry.
A 15min subway to Union, an hour train ride out to Ajax, an hour total for the two appointments, and then an hour ride back to Toronto plus waiting time.
It took me a total of 4.5hrs for that, dang.
Note to self: get a doctor in Toronto!!!
