As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Definitely a Good Friday... Friday, March 25

Yes, word on the street is true...

I TOOK A DAY OFF OF TRAINING!!!

No boxing.
No weight training
...and despite my efforts to get in an evening run...
No running.

Instead, I boarded the east bound Go Train at Union and headed out to Whitby for a special Easter production at my father's church.  Church and lunch with my family and then back to Toronto.  I had intended to come back to Toronto for early evening weight training at System but at one of the subway stops I was stopped by a familiar face -- one of my Barber Shop Boys.

"I guess I'm getting my hair cut now", I giggled and just like that plans to go weight training were totally thrown out the window.  Getting may hair cut went from a simple stop at the barber's to a visit to a famous patty place, coffee at Starbucks, and included a long walk along Yonge Street and a lot of giggles.  Four hours later and I was finally arriving at home.
