As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Love in a Jar... Sunday, March 20

As we climbed into the jeep last night to head back downtown, the Painter turned on the overhead light and picked up a bag that was sitting on the floor.  Inside the bag was a container of flavored nuts, a vegetable salad, and a fork.

He had brought me food.

[Enter a long "Awwwwwww, that's so sweet" here.]

Anyone who knows me knows "a fed Amy is a happy Amy".  The best way to bribe me to do something is with promises of food and if we do anything that's longer than 3 hours then there better be food.

Last night the Painter had come along with me to watch the Rumble at Clancy's.  He had picked me up at 6:15pm and it wasn't until about 9:30pm that we left the event.  I had nibbled on some snacks at the Rumble but was definitely needing more food.  That's when the Painter turned into last night's hero.  He had brought me food -- a bag stashed away with homemade healthy goodies for me.  Today I finished off that salad he had packed.  I'm not much of a salad kind of girl but I am most definitely a healthy eating kind of girl.  The salad was delish.
