As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Take-Your-Guest-to-Training Day... Saturday, April 23

Hmmm.... what did I do today?!

Exactly, I don't really remember.

I was waiting to hear back from Coach Perez to see if I was sparring this morning but that phone call never happened.  I then lounged around for a good chunk of the afternoon, walked around downtown looking for a place to get lunch at with my visitor, and then chillaxed at my house.

I was itching to train.

I wanted that phone call today from Coach Perez; I wanted to spar.  No sparring today but I did get to Systems for training.  And yes, I made my visitor come with me.  Oh relax, he's a bodybuilder so he's well aware of the need and drive to train.  I got him a day pass and off to System we both headed.

Today's weight training proved to be quite successful not only because I walked out with a mad pump on (trained upper body) but because I secured a new person on my "team" -- Team Dead Aim.  So far, I've got Coach Perez as my main coach, Coach Rico as an additional coach and also Coach Bad Boy-D, Clancy's K as my sponsor and awesome go-to-girl for basically anything and everything related to boxing and beyond, the Asian Invasion for tips and training with regards to my weight training, and now I have a French boxer (whom I haven't yet figured out a homepage nickname for).  He's one of my buddies at Systems who is also a boxer.  We've been talking about training together -- doing padwork and also sprints -- but it wasn't until we met up today at System that we made it official.  The plan is to meet at System and then head to High Park for running.  Saturdays will be our hard runs -- sprints -- and we'll be kicking off our runs together this upcoming Saturday.  It's going to be intense... I already love it!
