As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Still Feeling a Borderline Homeless... Monday, May 16

My pet peeve these days is when people assume that because I am originally from Canada that I must be comfortable and feel at home here.

I left a live I made in Korea, a very successful life in Korea and it was filled with my dogs, my friends and sponsors, and it was where I made my dream come true of owning my own business.  I made the biggest boxing club in Korea, wrap your head around that for a bit, and then I left it.

I think about Korea every day.

I miss Korea every day.

It doesn't mean that I want to go back or that I'm not incredibly happy to be here in Canada but it also doesn't mean I'm totally comfortable here or at home.  I feel internationally homeless -- no real country I call home.

I'm back in Korea now. It's so confusing. I know this feeling well.
