As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Putting Some Pleasure into Business... Sunday, July 3

Sometimes all you need is a good brain to pick.

There are two friends of mine, two great brains, whom I've been bouncing around a ton of ideas with regarding my business venture -- Foo Man Choo and Captain Bowtie.  Foo Man Choo is in the exact position as me, he's an entrepreneur doing his own thing and being quite successful at it, and Captain Bowtie just has a lot of business wisdom and food for thought.

Today I picked Captain Bowtie's brain and bounced ideas back and forth with him.  It was exactly what I needed to get myself back on track, refocused, and moving forward.

Business and boxing, that consumes me these days.

I've become the workaholic I had turned into in Korea, because of Korea, and proof of this was in the fact that I turned what was suppose to be a leisurely swim at the pool into a business meeting with a clothing supplier.  I treaded water in the deep end while he talked about different designs and options available to me.  I then stayed up well past 3am tonight working on my business venture and have officially defaced one of the walls in my bedroom via taping over 40 post it notes on it.
