As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thank You to Everyone Who Helped Wish Balboa Back!!!

I'd like to say I woke up to a beautiful sunrise but I didn't.
I had stayed up all night and watched it come up as my energy levels went down.
Thanks to all those in the Cabbagetown community for really helping to find Balboa and keeping the encouraging energy flowing.  This was one of two notes slipped under my door today by my neighbours and three others contacted me using the number listed on my lost dog poster and asked how the search was going.
I definitely heart Cabbagetown!!!
Thanks be to someone who spotted Balboa and was sweet enough to catch him and turn him in, I headed up to North York to go retrieve him.
I was all smiles and so was he.  I don't know who was more relieved for him to get out of the shelter, him or I.  Regardless, Balboa is now a licensed pup here in Canada.
A massive thanks to my buddy here who definitely went well beyond what I thought any friend would do to help me find Balboa.  He's awesome.
On Balboa's subway ride back home, I was too busy hugging him and kissing him for him to really enjoy his first subway ride with me but I didn't care.  Am so happy he's back.
