As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Entrepreneur Saves the Athlete... Saturday, December 18

Today's Schedule:
10am      Personal training session with one of my clients.
11:20am  Pick up my last paycheck at female-only gym downtown.
12pm      Brunch with the Captain.
1:30pm    Stop by Clancy's Boxing.
7:30pm    Grant African Church Christmas production.

Today I got paid... three times!
I got paid by my personal training client.
I got paid by the female-only gym for my last shifts.
I got paid by Clancy's Boxing for coaching Team Blue.

I trekked around Toronto today collecting some paychecks and, I'm not going to lie, it felt pretty good but I know this money has to hold me over till maybe as late as mid April.

On Monday I have another two pay checks to pick up, sweet.  My hard work is paying off.  My days of being a "starving athlete" are over.  I am still an athlete but the entrepreneur in me is keeping me fed and full.
