As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Loves in Korea

It's been well over a year and a half since I left Hulk's in Korea but I'm still managing the
Hulk's Facebook group page and responding to all the business emails.
I miss Hulk.  I miss my Hulkies and my Mini Hulkies.
The best decision when I left was fighting to get Balboa to come join me in Canada but there's
not a day that goes by that I don't think of Pacquiao and Pyen Chi.
I don't regret leaving and I think they are better off there than in Canada because I can't give
them the attention or space they both need to be comfortable in but I miss them so much.

They're not better off if they're living on a rooftop alone without regular human interaction. Unless you exaggerated when you said that in a different post. You could have try to find them a new home.

Hi Anonymous,
Yes, they're living on the rooftop (the rooftop of my gym) but they DO have human interaction. They are fed and tended to but most definitely not like when they lived in the actual club with me! As for your "you could have try to find them a home" comment, when I was there I didn't honestly know I was leaving when I did. It was a spur of the moment thing, that's why I wasn't able to deal with Balboa until much after me returning to Canada. Nothing in my move was planned!
