As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Looking for the Right Spot

With the decision made to go for a smaller location for the Empowered Clubhouse and the bigger location being the ultimate later goal, today I went location hunting.
To tell you the truth, I may have fallen in love with this above location... yes... maybe... probably!!!
But I have to weigh-out my options and see what else is out there so the hunt continued.
This was a massive location that they were offering to split in half for me.
It's being renovated right now so it was buzzing with workers but it has much potential.
Not sure about this place though.  All I see are walls that have to come down, a ceiling that needs to be ripped down,... a whack of construction that leaves my ears ringing with the cash register in my brain going absolutely bonkers.  No thanks.
It had been a long day of location hunting but then in the evening a surprise package arrived at my condo.  It was a belated birthday package -- handmade cards and a gift from my nieces.
These two girls are seriously so awesome.  I love the use of the #IamEmpowered.  They are so empowered and I love the confidence and sweetness these two have.
Felt extra empowered today thanks to two little ladies so I took my energy and got in a solid workout.
